The Power That Never Goes Out

Oh, so much is happening! So much, that as a very sensitive, highly empathic person, it can be overwhelming. I thought I was hibernating until a fierce storm hit Portland (and much of the rest of the country). Huge winds, then huge winds with a big ice storm, then 8-10 inches of snow in a place that doesn’t know how to deal with snow. No internet, no electricity, not even any mail, and cold! My animal instincts kicked in, and I began next-level hibernation. I got all the emergency supplies out, filled my refrigerator and freezer with snow, and decided to accept the circumstances. The house was around 50 degrees or so. I hunkered down in my coat and ski hat, wrapped in blankets with my hot water bottle on my lap and settled in. 

Honestly, it was a relief to be away from the buzz of electricity and internet. My inner monk was delighted and I ended up having a grand spiritual experience from the safety of my couch. I did some circular breathing, and usedthe new recording I had just made to deeply relax. I went into the deep stillness and silence.

I listened to the quiet whispers of my heart. I could feel and see that I had taken on the turmoil and conflict of the world without realizing it, and was so relieved to have everything completely shut down. No cars, no mail, no electronics, no electricity, no light pollution. And the special muffled silence and filtered white light that the snow provided was a gift. 

The shutdown was a great relief to my sensitive nervous system. I rested deeply, not realizing how tired I had become. I went to bed each night at sundown and got up with the new day. I heard a pack of coyotes howling in the night, they were close. I thought about the relief it must be for all the wildlife to enjoy the environment as it is naturally, without streetlights, traffic, or the constant electric hum.

I wanted a reading from the angels, like I give to other people. So, I asked for one, and began the opening prayer, calling them in. I have to laugh as I write this next bit, because it was so fantastic and spectacular, in a distinctly angelic way. 

The angels arrived in force, with what I could only call extreme glee. They were elated, grinning ear to ear, pleased as punch to be there and deliver the answer to my prayer.

Then I “saw” my torso become orange, then it started to glow, and it got more intense, a very big orange glow. I began to feel warm, then really, really warm! As I peeled off one of my layers, I started laughing. I said out loud, “I am a radiator!” There was a lot of laughing at that point, across dimensions. What a contrast between what I had felt like just a few minutes before their arrival! They were so giggly and happy that my mood was instantly lifted. 

They said, “YOU are filled with life force, THIS is power!”And I sat there, generating heat like a furnace, with a big smile on my face. Then I saw white light shooting from me in all directions, sending light waves far and wide. I was radiating powerful heat and light. Yes, I was indeed a radiator!

“Yes, THIS is power!”, they said. All the while, the angels were lifting my energy, raising my vibration, clearing me out, giving me a tuneup. Their glee and unrestrained exuberance was intoxicating. Their love was overwhelming, just writing about it makes me tear up. I was transported, ecstatic, warm and filled with love. 

Soon after this experience the “power” came back on, and in that moment, I made myself a promise. I will rest more, check in to make sure I “turn the power on” in my secret radiator, and care for my sensitive nervous system much, much more during this time of intense change in our world. And of course, call in the angels, who are happy (gleeful even) to come in for any and all help. They have never, ever let me down.

I haven’t yet experienced anything on this earth like their love, so I don’t know if it’s possible.
Who knows, maybe life will surprise me!

These are stormy times. Exciting, chaotic, beautiful, intense, scary at times, storms always stir things up. They can leave destruction in their paths, and can change lives.

We are always at one with nature, whether we are aware of it or not. As nature expresses through storms, fires, hurricanes, floods, etc., we feel it all at some level. This is even more pronounced for sensitives and empaths. The truth is, we are all connected. Every minute of every day, we are living together with nature, with all of humanity, with all of life.

And, as we are stirred up, a lot comes to the surface to be seen in the light of truth. And these truths can be really difficult to face! There are multiple crises happening now simultaneously. All of what is happening, happens on all levels, inside each of us, and in our world. There are people awakening to love, and people ramped up to start a civil war. Due to the effects of Covid-19, some people are sick or have died, some are overworked, some were abruptly unemployed. Some people found themselves suddenly home with their whole family living closer than they had ever intended, and other people are left totally alone and isolated. Do you sometimes feel like the overturned roots of the tree in the photo? Well, here we are.

Everything being stirred up and the resultant chaos can be so confusing as well. What news sources to believe? What about all that is left out of the news? What is being distorted, overblown? What is real? What is important? Where is my attention?

I’ve learned a few things about chaos from being an artist. There is a phase in the creation of a brand new piece where it isn’t clear what is happening or how it’s going to turn out. This is the chaotic phase. It could turn out badly, or a “mistake” could be just the thing that makes it all work. This phase of unknowingness can be resolved quickly or be stubborn to the point of needing to put it aside and start something new. However it rolls, I had to learn early on to roll with it, to accept it, if I wanted to do truly original work. It is an intrinsic part of the creative process.

This phase of chaos and unknowing is where we are right now. It is a time of opportunity, of creation, of manifestation. It is rich and messy and uncomfortable. We might rather it be smooth sailing, we might not like all this upheaval. But it is part of the creative process, and we are blessed (yes, blessed!) with this time to create anew. It is a great opportunity, and the way through is to embrace it fully, accept it, jump in and use this time to create a better world.

At a time of creation, a necessary step is to accept the current reality while also changing it. And that’s a delicate dance right there! The great news is that this dance can take place in the eye of the storm. You can live in the eye of the storm. It is place of inner peace and deep stillness, right in the middle of the swirling chaos and dramas. As they unfold all around you, you remain stable and at peace.

For me, especially these days, it is a constant practice to stay in the eye of the storm and not get caught up in the chaotic swirl. It is challenging to not get thrown off or even traumatized by shocking news or events. I set aside time to walk, sit and work outside. The birds, bees and butterflies show me the way to the stillness. The wind in the trees, all the different shades of green and brown call me home. Once you have experienced the quiet stillness of peace, you can find your way back. The angels are great at helping with this. When you want help, simply ask for their help with great sincerity. Ask to drop into a deep state of peace and stillness. And then surrender, let go, relax and receive their help.

As more and more of us stand strong in the eye of the storm, in this peace, it has a real impact on our world. We can be a stabilizing force in the world, each of us being a beacon of peace, no matter what is happening around us. We also become a stabilizing force for the earth herself. The earth is a being, and as we are healed by being in nature, she is also affected by us. When we are in chaos she feels this and sometimes has to let off steam. We are related, interdependent, and so we are responsible. By being a beacon of peace, we can also help quell the fires, calm the hurricanes, floods, droughts and other extreme climate events we are having. We can send out our heartfelt prayers, and when we feel it is right, we can also align our actions to create a more loving way to live on the earth. The shutdown from the pandemic has shown that our air is cleaner and our neighborhoods are quieter without driving and flying around so much. That is just one small example of how our actions affect our environment. So much is possible.

The angels encourage us all to go into our hearts and envision the best version of our world. Envision it as you would like it to be. Pray for it all, from deep in your heart. Every single prayer is heard.

Astrological Update

Kate Fotopoulos is back with her astrological insights:

If you think that it’s been a bumpy road in the last month trying to move forward toward your goals, well you’re right. In August, Mars, the planet that wants us to fast forward into action, formed squares (challenging aspects) first with Jupiter, then Pluto, then Saturn, the three outer planets that have been traveling together through the sign of Capricorn, which wants us to move slowly and deliberately.

Warrior Mars in the fire sign of Aries is like the kid that shouts, “I want it, and I want it right now!” The parental Capricorn energies answer, “No, it’s not time yet, you need to wait.”

Step on the gas. Hit the brake.

Feel like you’re being jerked around?

We’ve had a short respite since Mars cleared its square with Saturn on 8/24, but the red planet will be slowing to a halt this week before it stations retrograde on Wednesday 9/9 and begins its movement backwards for the next couple of months, during which time it will once again trigger the Capricorn energies, this time in reverse: first Saturn, then Pluto, then Jupiter.

If you have planets in your natal chart between 15 and 28 degrees of any of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn) you’ll really be feeling this. Do whatever you need to take care of yourself through this period.

Know that even though you may feel frustrated by them at times, the Capricorn planets are really here to support you. Jupiter teaches you by asking the question, in whatever area it’s transiting in your chart, “How have you been underestimating yourself?” Pluto works at a deep soul level, helping you to evolve and transform. Saturn is about maturing and mastery.

What might make this leg of the journey a little bit smoother is that the Sun, which is now traveling through the earth sign of Virgo until 9/22, will be making harmonious connections with these three planets in the earth sign of Capricorn, bringing a sense of stability, and perhaps finally giving us some traction.

On 9/9, the same day that Mars stations retrograde, the Sun will meet up with Jupiter’s expansive energies. On 9/14, the Sun and Pluto will connect, bringing light to the shadowy areas of our psyche.

There will be an incredibly powerful New Moon on 9/17, where the Sun and Moon in Virgo will share the same degree as Saturn in Capricorn. New Moons are about planting seeds, beginning cycles, and this connection to Saturn, if we back up our intentions with ACTION, can bring about magical manifestations.

We need to harness the detail-oriented practicality of Virgo to keep things simple and focused, to avoid becoming distracted.

Saturn points out where we have work to do. How we show up, the level of commitment we bring over the next few months, will determine the quality of rewards we can look forward to at the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn at the December Solstice.

Summer Solstice, Solar Eclipse & New Moon 2020

Thinning and Pruning, Again…

The summer solstice marks the time for the summer pruning of the fruit trees. But inevitably, after I’m done with a tree, maybe weeks later from a different angle, I spot some watersprouts that need to come off that I had missed, or a cluster of apples hiding in the shade of leaves (like the Jonagolds in the photo above). Despite my best attempts, I never get everything in one go. 

So it is with the thinning and pruning of our inner and outer worlds. As much as we face challenges, grow and work on ourselves, something else pops up to ask us to look again and address it. The truth is, we will always be presented with opportunities to grow, and we always have the choice of how to respond. There are infinite opportunities to grow and expand, and I am so thankful for that. We don’t always get the whole lesson in one go, and that’s fine.

In the outer world, all kinds of issues previously hidden are now visible so we can take another look and perhaps make new decisions about what is intolerable, and what we’d rather see. It is an opportunity for growth on a national and global level. We can choose differently. We can choose to live in a humane world. One that is safe and nurturing for all the people, all the animals, and the ecosystem we live in. This time is offering us an opportunity to look again at all levels of our world and decide anew. 

 

A note from the angels: The angels want us all to take extra good care of ourselves right now. To take time to breathe deeply, being grateful for our breath, to feel our beautiful hearts, to feel our feelings and allow it all. They want us to see ourselves like they see us, with a love and compassion that is total, no matter what we are experiencing. We are loved immensly, completely, without conditions, every minute. As our world rocks, we can be secure in that love. 

 

Angeles Arrien used to say (and I’m paraphrasing here) that respect means to look again. And now is the time to reevaluate everything about our inner and outer world. Kate, who is an astrologer who has an insightful piece in this newsletter*, told me that by September, we’ll have six planets in retrograde. And retrograde is always time to look at everything anew. Reevaluate, reassess, revise, refresh, and all words starting with the prefix “re” apply here. It’s time to respect ourselves and our world by taking an honest look, again. 

When you make a new decision about yourself or the world, or about how you’d like to show up in your life, that’s the turning point. That’s the raw energy that starts right away to make the change. As soon as you decide. You don’t have to know the outcome, you could decide you don’t want to live in a certain way anymore, or be with a particular person, or that you want to be visible when you’ve previously hidden. You don’t have to know how anything will come to be, and you may not even know what you want yet, but  maybe you know what you don’t want. You can just start with what you DO know, because change is a process, and you’ll discover and know more after things start moving in the new direction. 

This is an exciting, intense, truly wondrous, crazy time. It may be inconvenient, we may need to be flexible, to adapt, but we might just wake up an inner strength and clarity we didn’t know we had. The new moon, solstice and eclipse this weekend is a great time to dream a new dream for ourselves and for our world.

 

The angels encourage us all to dive deep into our hearts and envision the best version of yourself, and your world. Envision with no limitations because there is a big opening now to reimagine and revise everything. Pray for it all, from deep in your heart. Every single prayer is heard.

Retrogrades, Solstice, Eclipses…Oh, My!

As a counseling astrologer, I’ve been fielding a flood of technical questions lately, like “What the heck is going on?” 

If you’ve been feeling exhausted, like you just can’t make it through even simple projects or tasks, join the club!

Since April, we’ve had Pluto, then Saturn, Jupiter, Venus, and now Mercury retrograde. They’ll be joined next week by Neptune. When a planet goes retrograde, it appears, from our perspective on Earth, to stand still and then move backwards.

Some people freak out about Mercury retrogrades, which, truth be told, often bring us technology meltdowns, communication SNAFUs, and travel woes.

I’ve actually learned to enjoy retrogrades. They’re the perfect time to do all those “re“ things, like reconsider, revisit, reimagine, recalibrate, rewind, reshape, rewrite…Think of them as a period for cleaning up unfinished business–for thanking and releasing old patterns, programs, beliefs, and behaviors that may have served you in the past but are not part of who you are becoming.

What you DON’T want to do, especially with all these planets retrograde at the same time, is to push yourself too hard. You won’t make much headway, and you’ll start beating yourself up about not getting enough done.

Stop. Breathe. Be gentle with yourself. Please. 

Mercury, the fastest moving planet in our solar system, is slowing to a snail’s pace. It normally covers a couple degrees a day, but over the next 5 weeks it will crawl, backwards and forwards, through a total of only 9 degrees. SUPER slow.

And it is doing its slow dance in the sign of Cancer. Cardinal water. Imagine trying to run in a rushing river against the current. Yeah, that’s it.

Between the retrograde planets and our “safer-at-home” directives, the universe is conspiring to bring us into a state of introspection. Which is a GIFT.

Carl Jung said, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life, and you will call it fate.”

Over a year ago, Saturn began rubbing shoulders with Pluto, Lord of the Underworld, of Death, Rebirth, and most importantly, Transformation. Since they both have been hanging out in the sign of Capricorn, until Saturn recently dipped its toes into Aquarius (it will slide back into Capricorn in less than 2 weeks), there’s been a dynamic of shaking up, even shattering, outmoded structures, institutions, hierarchies, and belief systems. Which is a GOOD THING.

We’re being called to take the deep dive, to descend into our personal underworld, to shine a light on those dark, shadowy things that we’ve chosen not to look at because they’re scary. Or at least they were when we decided to bury them.

Pluto’s job is to break down structures that are no longer useful so they can be transformed. Think caterpillar to butterfly. There’s a period of confinement, struggle, discomfort, and ultimately a complete metamorphosis.

The thing is, we don’t know exactly what we’re going to emerge into. There’s a huge question mark. 

If you’re reading this, you’re part of Shantara’s tribe, and I’m fairly certain you are someone who has chosen to dedicate your life to awakening consciousness on the planet. 

Now is the time when you have to summon all your faith and trust that your Angel Buddies, Cosmic Mentors, and Spiritual Guides have your back. It’s not quite like free-fall, but the changes are enough to make you dizzy, and maybe a little anxious.

Now is the time to wait, to receive, to be open to direction. Patience, Grasshopper…

Saturday night, June 20, 2020, at 11:41pm PDT, we have an amazingly powerful new cycle beginning. The Moon is aligning with the Sun to create a total solar eclipse. This eclipse is the culmination of a two-and-a-half-year series of eclipses in Cancer/Capricorn. We’re finishing up themes we’ve been working on for that whole time.

New Moons are a fresh start, a perfect opportunity to set intentions, to plant seeds for what you want to bring to fruition in the future. Normally New Moon energies last until the next month’s lunar cycle begins, but because of the amplification from the eclipse and from the fact that it’s happening exactly on the Solstice (a rare occurrence), whatever you set in motion now will remain in effect for about 6 months.

This is a MAJOR shift of energies. We are moving forward into a whole new reality. If you put in the conscious work now of re-examining your priorities, tying up loose ends, releasing old structures that no longer serve your highest good, you will be richly rewarded at the Great Conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn, which happens to fall at the December Solstice.

Instead of seeing 2020 as the Year of Limitations, let’s use our experiences as evidence that the human spirit can survive ANYTHING. The Sabian symbol for the first degree of Cancer says: “On a ship, the sailors lower an old flag and raise a new one.”

A Foot in Two Worlds

As I was cooking…

I had an amazing experience with the angels. These spiritual experiences usually happen when I am doing something mundane and am in a relaxed and open state. On this day, I was standing in the kitchen preparing some food, with my laptop on the counter to listen to Andrea Boccelli sing live at the Duomo cathedral in Milan. I was excited to hear this concert, and had it in my calendar so I wouldn’t miss it. The concert was called Music for Hope, and was offered in response to the death and devastation in Italy from the coronavirus. As I listened to his voice, I was so moved by the music, his intentions, and the moment, my heart opened wide, and then…

And then I was transported to the angelic realm. It felt like I was instantly transported in a vortex, and there I was. The angels I know and love met me in what felt like the edge of their realm. I had been specially invited, summoned, and they were in that spot to receive me. There were the very tall angels who have been with me throughout my life, and a loving spirit guide named Ella (more about her in a later post). I was overwhelmed, stunned and star-struck! But they were at ease, having a great time. They surrounded and embraced me, and I surrendered, just melted in love, acknowledgment and joy like I’ve never felt on earth. I couldn’t, I didn’t move. I just stood there and received their extreme love, joy and celebration. They were all very pleased, they were smiling broadly. I can’t write this without smiling and weeping with joy and recognition. It was such an experience, beyond words. 

When my consciousness came back to my kitchen, literally worlds away, I found myself holding onto the counter, tears running down my face, my heart impossibly expanded with love. Andrea Boccelli’s music was continuing on the periphery of my consciousness.

He was still singing! I felt like I was gone the whole afternoon. I forget each time that interdimensional travel is the perfect time management hack. No matter how much happens, the clock reflects that only a few minutes have passed. That experience was literally a gift from the heavens. I cherish it, and what it has left me with. 

I am more aware than ever that the angels are with us, and that they are as real as anything in our world. That we are truly never alone, even though it may feel that way at times. We are not as earth-bound as gravity would have us believe. We can always shift our energy in a flash and have a different experience, transform, heal, or create something new. Our experience of life is much more malleable than it seems. We are truly the creators of our lives.

Happy Spring Everyone!

I have suspended all the concerts with the angels to respect the physical distancing guidelines in response to the global coronavirus outbreak. I hope that you are all well, or are resting and spending some time out in the sun or in a sunbeam if you are indoors.

It is a exceptionally gorgeous start to spring this year, and such a blessing, to uplift our spirits and nourish us with the life-giving power of the sun. The plum blossoms in the photo above are from my yard, and they have the most divine scent. As do the hyacinths, and many other early spring flowers. If you can go outdoors on a walk, please stop and take in the beauty and scent of the flowers. They are here to share love and inspiration with all of us. Let them know you appreciate them!

If you are saddened or discouraged by the news of the coronavirus or anything else in our world today, please take a break from it and if you can, sit directly on the ground or on a rock, and put your hands or feet on the earth and intend to drain off all of your fears, grief, worry, sadness, or any other upsets. You can cleanse yourself in this very simple, available way. If you can’t get out onto the soil, you can hold a rock as a vehicle to do the same thing. Or you can take a bath with epsom salts, and if you wish, a few drops of lavender essential oil (added to the salts first, then to the water). Mostly, intend to drain off all the excess emotion, and allow yourself to let it go.

Then, bring in the light. You can bring in some inspiration for this from flowers, our bright sun and sky, music, your own singing, and mostly your intention. And when you bring the light in, allow it to fill you until you are overflowing, and allow it to flow from you. Then, enjoy feeling this lightness and joy and go on with your day. Do this as often as needed to stay in a light, joyous space.

In these times of reduced human activity, nature is thriving. The canals in Venice have cleared of pollution, and fish, dolphins and swans are now swimming in them! The air is clearer, in China the difference is so striking it can be seen from space. Lake Michigan is so clear that shipwrecks can be seen from space. I know my neighborhood is much quieter, less cars and more people walking. My prayer is that we take note of this and choose to keep the earth, sky and water cleaner from now on. We are an innovative species – we can find a way!

The increased isolation from the lockdowns is also giving us a break from the frenzy. We can breathe, take walks, spend time with our family or alone, and see more clearly what is important in our lives. We might re-evaluate our lifestyles, our values, what we thought was necessary before and what we think now.

And, this pandemic won’t go on forever. The more we focus on the beauty and love, both inside and out, the faster it will be gone. This is a virus that thrives on fear. There is a heightened amount of fear swirling around our world right now. Remember, we are the creators. We can choose to focus on beauty and love, and in this way, the fear, and the virus, have nothing to feed on. I’ve seen people in my neighborhood come together to take care of each other in various ways. Some professional musicians have even been playing on their porches at announced times so that neighbors can delight in the music without crowds. I’ve thought of offering outdoor concerts – let me know if you’d be interested!

And, of course, hand-washing, physical distancing, and all of those guidelines are important to honor.

Watching the unfolding events and responses to the coronavirus outbreak inspired me to share some thoughts on immune support. In addition to washing our hands and following the other prevention measures, we can be pro-active in becoming as strong as possible.

The best protection for our wellbeing on all levels is a strong immune system. We as human beings along with everything else alive including the plants, animals, birds, insects, and our precious earth, has an immune system. When you support your immune system, your immune system is there to support you when you need it. The immune system works on all levels: our bodies, our hearts, our minds and our spirits.

The immune system is like a reservoir, a reserve of strength to draw upon when we need it. And when we don’t need to draw on it, we can replenish and care for it.

There have always been viruses in this world. (We even created computer viruses soon after we created computers!) So this is nothing new. But it is up to us how we choose to respond.

Nature is so amazing. For every virus, illness or challenge we have on any level, nature says, “we have a plant for that”! Thankfully, the variety of plants in nature is as vast as the variety of problems we have.

I am in the process of planting a brand new garden, and of course, I have to plant my favorites. One is the elder, a true star of immune support. Elders grow all over North America and Europe. Here in the Pacific Northwest, sambucus cerelea, or blue elderberry, is the native variety. Elder flowers and berries are a fantastic anti-viral treatment, and are known to strengthen the immune system. The elder is aptly named, as it offers wisdom and protection on many levels. I chose this plant intentionally to put in an area of the yard that had been contentious from before I bought the property. It will be part of the immune system of my property, as it will make a symbolic statement of protection, wisdom and beauty. It will also be help protect my immune system as I make medicinal preparations with the berries. And it will be a source of food and habitat for the bees and birds. I can almost feel the excited anticipation of the birds that this great plant will soon be in their habitat. I’ve asked that they leave the lower berries please! If you are interested, you can buy elderberry tincture or syrup, or you can buy dried berries and make your own remedies.

Another plant for my new garden are sunflowers. Sunflowers remind everyone to be happy. They are not shy and can grow more than fourteen feet high! And, they provide many seeds for small animals and birds. Have you ever gazed at the pattern of sunflower seeds? They grow in a spiral that follow the Fibonacci sequence, or 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 89, 144…I admire the geometric patterns in nature so much! Happiness boosts immunity too!

And, you can help your immunity by eating the most nourishing foods that make you feel your strongest. Listen to your body on what feels best. You can supplement your diet with herbs and plants that are here to help build up our strength and immune reserves. And deep rest, meditation, relaxation, and doing what you love. Being quiet in nature, sitting on a rock, or touching a tree, sitting on the ground with the plants, all strengthen us. And on the flip side, staying away from thoughts, things or people that bring you down is important. This includes fear, which lowers your immunity. When or if fear comes up, you can remind yourself that you are doing everything you can, and then breathe, relax and surrender. Ask the angels for help. You are much stronger when you are relaxed, and not stressed. You can intentionally minimize stress for yourself and others.

Another way to boost your immunity is through raising and strengthening your vibration. You can know yourself in relation to the higher frequencies. This happens in the sound healing concerts. We also reach states of being that are close to the angels. We are with them, as they are with us, sharing a beautiful state of silence together. This builds and strengthens your relationship with the angels. My direct line to the angels and departed loved ones is an essential part of my immune system. Even though I’m alone more often than not, I can feel loved to my core and guided, anywhere, anytime, just by asking. This is available to all of us, all the time, just remember to ask!

Valentine’s Day is for Everyone

The angels want to let you know that you are loved. That you are made of love, and that it is love that makes the world go round (not money)!*

Love is a universal language, we all recognize it and want it. Everyone who lives on this earth, every plant and animal and the earth herself lives in the vibration of love. It is a vibration we need, it nourishes us. Love is our sustenance, our food, and our medicine.

The angels remind us that it is pretty special that we have a day focused on love, a frequency we all need. This day to celebrate love is for absolutely everyone, no matter your circumstance. Allow yourself to receive the love from the angels. Fill your heart.

You can celebrate love for yourself, accepting yourself and your life exactly as you are right now. You can radiate love to everyone and everything around you. Celebrate love for life, being grateful for your life. Celebrate love and appreciation for this great planet we all share, including the trees, animals, the sky, water, and soil.

Isn’t it wonderful that we have a day on our calendar, focused on love? Take advantage of this day to let your heart give and receive love, to feel love, and to be love. We are all made of vibration, the vibration of love.

We will be celebrating and amplifying the energy of love in our concert this Saturday.  I will be playing the singing bowls. The bowls express the feminine qualities of receiving and allowing. Perfect to receive the love of the angels!

More About Peace

February 1, 2020 When you experience peace throughout your body and mind, all kinds of tensions, pain and problems naturally dissipate. We all have resistance as a natural part of growth, in the cycle of expansion and contraction. When you are able to let resistance melt, when you surrender to the peace that is available at all times, you naturally recalibrate. As recalibration occurs, the aches and pains of life melt away, and a great peace is revealed. You feel more at ease, and this ease radiates out into every aspect of your life. When was the last time you felt this kind of peace? I attained a state of deep inner peace not too long ago, and it has not wavered. It is a remarkable way to live. Life happens, there are interruptions and curfuffles at times. I can get shaken up, but the shaking happens only on the surface of a great, abiding peace. The foundation of peace is unfazed. This experience is available to everyone. The angels would like to help you attain this state of inner peace. Whether you choose a private or group session, they always work with each and every person individually while they hold you in love.

A Word about Peace

When I was growing up, in a situation that seemed impossible, I often asked the angels what the point was. And they would often say, “none of this is what it seems to be”. This was oddly comforting to me, and I hoped that it was true. Even as a toddler, I could see that life couldn’t possibly be defined by what I saw in front of me. But I had no idea what was really going on.

And now, in my wisdom years, I have reached a state of peace that I was craving as a toddler and throughout my life. All the pain and confusion has transformed into peace. I have been feeling this develop and build over the past few years, but during a family visit last month, I had the chance to see how strong it is. It was effortless to be anchored in peace, even in an environment of drama. No triggers, no stress, no effort, just peace. 

Sometimes peace is equated with acting nice, or being calm. But real inner peace has nothing to do with nice, in fact just the opposite is true. As with many things in life, the two sides of the same coin are both integral to its strength. Developing and maintaining inner peace requires tenacity and fierce energies. 

The attainment of inner peace is real freedom. 

We each have different journeys, challenges, setbacks and achievements to inner peace. And we each approach it with different lenses of our personalities and our purposes, or lessons. Those of us who have abuse or trauma in our past can have vestiges of these experiences stored in our bodies, our minds and/or our hearts. Trauma is an immersive experience, touching all parts of ourselves. It can take tenacity and a fierce courage to unwind from the trauma, leave it behind (even though it is what is most familiar) and become willing to open up to a new life. This isn’t work that has any room for being nice. This is fierce work.

Many people, including me, have mastered this journey from trauma to inner peace. We emerge from this fire strong and resilient, with expanded awareness and the freedom that peace brings.

Living in love, in the energy of grace and peace is our birthright. It is the way of nature. It’s possible, and it’s also a way toward world peace. It is a path of many miracles. 

Connection in Grace

I’ve played sound healing concerts for all kinds of groups for a long time. But there has been a shift recently, and the concerts have become stronger in grace and connection.

People have been able to shed more “noise” and reach a state of pure and simple grace. A deeply quiet state of being that leaves you speechless. This state of being is rare in these times, and one to savor. It is in this state of stillness that healing happens, and that alignment with our souls and the Divine occurs. 

A note about the “noise” that obscures this experience of grace. We all collect it like dust collects on our favorite possessions. Where does dust come from and why is it there again when I just cleaned it up a few weeks ago? Ha! It’s part of life, and it’s really the same in our energy field. The dust is made up of our own unsettled thoughts, others’ thought patterns that we picked up, insignificant annoyances, the whispers of our heart that we haven’t made time to listen to, things we feel conflicted about that remain below the surface, etc., etc., etc. Dust. Sound healing provides a thorough dusting (and even vacuuming) and we are left with the core of who we are, steeped in grace.

We are also left with inner and outer peace and quiet. What a relief! It is quite stunning, really. And it allows all levels, from our cells, organs and muscles to our mind and heart, to relax. When we relax at this deep level, the comfort of it allows us to feel more deeply. We are safe in this space, can breathe easier, and feel and see who we are.

We are grand creators, throbbing with life, as each heartbeat rings through the us. We are clear enough to see what is possible and to make choices based on  the whispers of our hearts and spirits. In this way, we can not only change the course of our lives, but we can join our grace in connection others, with the earth, and make a difference in our world.

What are your heart’s true desires?

Desire is natural and important for everyone. It’s what motivates us and draws us forward to improve ourselves, to educate ourselves, expand our horizons and to grow.

Some spiritual traditions frown on desires, but everyone has desires and always will because they help propel us forward and grow. Our desires show us what we really want, and what is important to us.

Our desires might be for enlightenment, more wealth, health, happiness, awakening, love or inner peace. It might be for something like a house or a car. It might be for a way of life, or a state of being, like love, a relationship, feeling free of old patterns, or to have a quality of peace in your heart.

You simply need a desire for the result, and the right conditions for the desires to take hold and grow. Just like planting seeds in the garden. We start with good seeds, provide all the right conditions in concert with nature, and then we hold the intention of the harvest. All need to do after that is trust the process, have faith in nature, and have patience, knowing that the seeds are growing, even when we can’t see them.

Manifesting your desires works much the same way. When you reach a deep level of peace and experience the fertile silence and stillness that the Universe resides in, you can broadcast your intentions, and allow your manifest desires to show up in your life. It is very real, and it doesn’t require any pain or suffering. In fact, it feels like bliss. It is an “all gain, no pain” approach.
A concert with the angels is a great place to get in touch with and manifest your desires. Each concert begins with a teaching from the angels. And, the deep stillness and silence that you are left with after the concert is fertile soil for your true desires and intentions.

The concerts have been so deep recently, that the time afterwards that used to be filled with sharing and asking questions has turned into a time of sitting in deep meditation together. These moments immersed in this silence and stillness are rare and precious. There are no words in this beautiful state of being. The recent concert-goers have shown me to allow the silence.

So we will savor the silence, and we can energize our intentions and desires in this state of being, so they can grow in this great, fertile energy. As soon as you have a clear desire, the Universe begins bringing it to you.

Behind the Scenes: Asking for Help & Receiving Support

I was taught from a young age that there would be no support for me. I was on my own. And, there weren’t any words for it at the time, but I was, and am, an empath, a highly sensitive person, an intuitive, and I have a fantastic group of Angels with me.

The usual places that people go to for help or guidance or even training have never worked for me. I tried and tried, and I succeeded on the outer level, but it rang hollow inside. I finally came to a place in my life when I surrendered completely to the Angel’s grace. I made a strong decision to just be myself and live with them. 

And with that, I also decided that I wanted and deserved support and was ready to receive it. I starting dreaming into a new life for myself that included support with every endeavor, whether it was breaking old patterns or finding my dream home. I was very clear that I wanted support with everything.

Since I had been in a long-standing pattern of going it alone, I am constantly reminding myself  at each turn that support is possible. I open myself to the possibility, then surrender any struggle or worry. And then acknowledge the help when it shows up. This is not always a smooth and easy process, so it’s a good thing that perfection is not required!

Well, so far so many delightful small things have happened to support me. And some big things, like my dream home/studio/farm (more about that miracle another time).

Surrender is always a part of bringing through the Angels, of living in a state of grace, and of receiving life’s support.

I am so grateful for every bit of support now. 

Last week I decided to give my car some good attention. It needed an oil change, and a thorough cleaning after hauling stinky burlap bags and bales of straw for the garden. I found a coupon for an oil change and inspection at a place close by, and got that done. On the way home, I stopped at a car wash and asked if I could pay just to use the vacuum. They said no, but since they weren’t busy I could use it for free. I inwardly acknowledged the support! There was a sign that said to only use it for 10 minutes, but I really needed it longer, and no one was around, so I really gave my car a good cleaning. I acknowledged getting just what I needed. But this was no ordinary vacuum time. With the help of the Angels, I could feel that with every minute of vacuuming, my past, on all levels, was being thoroughly cleaned out of my field.

I bought my car new in 1991. I went to the dealer in Berkeley, CA alone and was literally shaking at making such a big purchase for myself. Of course, the Angels were with me, and I got an unheard of deal on it without even trying. (A very funny story for another newsletter). By now, my trusty car has seen me through so many moves and life-changes. I cleaned out my whole past with that vacuum session. When I got in my car to drive home, I was gleaming and so was the beautiful marine blue interior of my car.

Inviting the Angels in often means going deeper, getting all that is possible on every level from every experience, and often comes with surprises. Talk about support! They are always here to help. You can call on them anytime to receive their grace and support.
